    Corrections Policy

Accuracy matters. Small Business Insured welcomes evidence-based corrections and updates material errors transparently.

This policy explains what we correct, how to report an issue, and what readers can expect from our review.

    What qualifies for review

    • An incorrect fact, date, number, quotation, or attribution.
    • A material source that is misrepresented or no longer supports the claim.
    • An important omission that makes a passage misleading.
    • Insurance, legal, tax, regulatory, or cybersecurity information that has become materially outdated.
    • A broken source link when the source is important to understanding or verifying the article.

Differences of opinion do not automatically require a correction, but we will review them when they identify a factual problem or missing evidence.

    How to report an issue

Please email contact@smallbusinessinsured.com or use our contact page. Include the article URL, the passage you believe is incorrect, a short explanation, and any reliable source that supports the correction.

    Our review process

    • We assess the challenged passage against the best available primary and authoritative sources.
    • When necessary, we seek additional context or specialist input.
    • If a material error is confirmed, we update the article promptly and may add a correction note explaining the change.
    • If information is accurate but unclear, we may revise it for precision and readability.
    • We do not remove accurate material simply because a person or company disagrees with it.

    Transparency about changes

Material corrections should be visible to readers. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, and broken-link fixes may be made without a formal note when they do not change the meaning. A changed “updated” date should reflect a meaningful review or revision, not a cosmetic refresh.

For more about our research and review standards, read the Editorial Policy and Fact-Checking Standards.
